THEAPP was born from a promise to turn pain into progress.
My brother’s story is why I built a platform that helps members of The Community and its allies find safe, inclusive places. This is not just an app. It is a commitment to dignity, visibility, and everyday safety.

OUR STORY
THEAPP was born from personal loss and a promise to turn pain into progress.
My younger brother grew up in a small town in rural Kentucky. As a member of The Community, he faced years of harassment, isolation, and hostility simply for being who he was. Those experiences took a toll that followed him into adulthood. He passed away at 52.
After his death, I knew I could not stay silent or do nothing.
For decades, we walked together through towns where not everyone was welcoming. I saw firsthand how uncertainty, fear, and rejection shape everyday decisions: where to eat, where to shop, where it feels safe to exist. THEAPP was created to remove that uncertainty.
This platform is not about confrontation. It is about redirection.
THEAPP helps members of The Community and its allies find businesses that treat people with dignity, respect, and fairness. It gives visibility to businesses already doing the right thing and allows communities to support them with confidence.
THEAPP exists so fewer people have to wonder if they will be welcome when they walk through the door.
